Villa Maddalusa is a country residence built in the first half of the 19th century, with a splendid view of the sea, which is only a few hundred meters away. Located between the high coast of Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, famous throughout the world for its ancient Greek monuments, it is immersed in an area where the seascape admirably coexists with the rural one. Few places like this are endowed with so much history and culture. About two kilometers away is the house where the writer and playwright Luigi Pirandello, Nobel Prize for Literature, was born, and Andrea Camilleri (born in nearby Porto Empedocle) set many of his stories right in the Maddalusa area. The building, consisting of two floors, with large terraces (one overlooking the "African sea", the other on a garden of olive trees, oranges, pomegranates, bougainvilleas), is in good condition. On the ground floor, currently used as a guest apartment, three bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, as well as large spaces to be used as a garage and storage room. On the first floor, the main apartment which has remained almost entirely as it was in the 19th century, with original flooring and breathtaking panoramic views, has a large living room/lounge, with an equally large dining room, two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. Near the building, an old oven and a disused stable, suitably restored, could be used as a guesthouse.
