- About Us
Rome is probably the only place in the world where the past coexists with the present, not only in the architecture, but also in the spirit of the city: an incomparable greatness that arises every day for over two thousand years, commending the rightful nickname of Eternal City. And it is right in the heart of the Italian Capital that Italy Sotheby's International Realty has decided to open its second showroom, in Via della Fontanella di Borghese 38, a few steps from Trinità dei Monti and Via dei Condotti. Like the first showroom inaugurated in Milan in September 2021, this new space shares our brand philosophy of hospitality, combining history, design, art and creating a refined and timeless atmosphere, by showcasing the homes we represent: a collection of unique Italian properties, among the most beautiful ones in the world, where past stories and future visions live together in harmony. This edition of By's Magazine starts from Rome, from its glorious past and secret places, and looks to the future, telling stories about the Italian excellence and interviewing prominent figures in the world of art and culture: one among them is Chiara Parisi, Rome born and curator of "the prestigious Centre Pompidou- Metz" Museum. But Rome is also a city that looks to the future, with initiatives of great cultural value such as the Rome Chamber Music Festival, an international excellence in the panorama of music festivals, that we will present through the words of its founder and artistic director, the violinist Robert McDuffie.
And it is with this gaze directed to the future that we would like to share with you the desire of rebirth in the name of beauty and hope, characterizing the fifth edition of our By's Magazine.
Violonist Robert McDuffie, founder and artistic director of the Rome Chamber Music Festival, believes in a future where cloassical, rock, pop and hip-hop artists will be playing side by side. "Business musicians" must become a new normal.
