Fascinating ex -rectory enclosed in a small village of Monferrato region

This property, adjacent to the sacristle of the church of Moncestino, was created as a rectory in the mid-1700s. During the following century, an additional floor was added to the structure , for a total of two. The current renovation, which took place in 2008, affected the building both internally and externally, according to an extremely well-curated project and paying particular attention to the original construction systems and to the context. In order to enhance the aesthetic impact of the old brick arched facade, disfigured by the nineteenth-century intervention and now incorporated inside the house, the new stair in Luserna stone was placed near the old wall in restored brick and it has been illuminated by two skylights inserted on the new raised roof. The main materials used for the restoration are Luserna stone, oak (also ancient), exposed concrete, marble, travertine, onyx, recycled brick material, mortar and lime plaster with natural tones. The property of approx. 300 square meters is on two levels: on the first floor we find the living area characterized by a beautiful living room that opens onto a loggia, a dining room with double-sided fireplace overlooking a terrace and the garden, a kitchen and a bathroom.
