This historically important borgo is perched on the summit of the hill overlooking Greve in Chianti, and is accessed via 4 km of country road which passes through woodland, olive groves and vineyards.
On arrival, one is welcomed by outstanding views of the Chianti countryside in all its beauty. Vineyards, olive groves, woodland and countryside provide the background for the various ancient hamlets and farmsteads that adorn the surrounding area.
The origins of this fortress go back as far as the 1100s. With the passage of time, there have been various modifications to the highest part of the property, originally the watch tower, with only the perimeter walls remaining.
Now the whole property measures around 650 sqm in total, and is made up of the original chapel and three other buildings; The main villa and two annexes, all of which have been completely restored in accordance with the latest building norms and regulations.
Currently, the property is being run as a short time rental activity and therefore all of the buildings have been restored internally and divided into apartments, each with their own independent entrance,
In total, there are ten apartments, plus the chapel which has become a small dwelling on its own. Each apartment has its own kitchen, living room and bathroom. Six of the apartments offer two bedrooms while the rest are designed with one bedroom.
In total, there are 17 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, each with private external space. The swimming pool is situated in one the most scenic areas of the whole borgo, while the chapel, as well as having a spacious garden, also has its own pool.
