One of the most important realities of national and international tourism, the jewel, together with Porto Cervo, of Gallura, on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, is Porto Rotondo. Located a few kilometers from Golfo Aranci, Palau and Arzachena, it is spread over 500 hectares of land between the gulfs of Cugnana and Marinella, with the well-equipped marina with 800 berths as a reference point.
Today the destination of many visitors, Porto Rotondo has a large number of villas, houses, residences and waterfront properties for sale and rent, all built around the initial nucleus of the village dating back to 1964: to initiate some Venetian entrepreneurs, who have shaped the architecture of the town, very similar to that typical of Venice. Not surprisingly, the main square is Piazzetta San Marco. Poltu Rutundu (in the Gallurese language) is considered one of the most chic locations in Sardinia and throughout Italy: frequented by many famous people, especially in the summer in nightclubs, but also by business men, who choose it as their residence summer.
Among the most famous attractions of Porto Rotondo, the Big Game is held every end of August, a sporting event of deep sea fishing, one of the most relevant and spectacular in the Mediterranean.
