The Tonnara di San Giuliano is the oldest "tonnara" (ancient building for the processing of fished tuna) in western Sicily and was active from the 16th century until 1961. It is located on the north coast of Trapani and has an incredible view from the ancient city walls, overlooking the Egadi Islands. It takes a few minutes to reach the best location by boat to watch the sunset. On the right side of the property there is the beach of Punta Tipa where the sea is among the clearest in Sicily. The area is characterized by limestone and an ecosystem that is still intact and protected, and from which it is possible to easily reach Trapani, well-known for its delightful historic center. The Tonnara is an integral part of the history of Sicily and it represents a valid investment for those wishing to start a business in Sicily.
