The property is located less than 30 km from Florence in a panoramic position and nestled in the Chianti Classico area, surrounded by olive groves and rows of vineyards.
Written testimonies place the origins of this ancient farm around the XIV century. Originally built to defend and control the surrounding area, it was later used as a residence and convent by the Augustinian monks for over four centuries.
The manor house, on two levels totals 600 square meters and was completely renovated during the 1800s, respecting the Tuscan tradition with stone walls, terracotta floors and exposed wooden beams. The choice of using original stones, red bricks from the typical Tuscan farmhouses, together with terracotta and stones polished by time was a priority, to keep the perfect harmony among history, nature and the surrounding environment.
In addition to the manor house there is a former pigsty, completely restored in which the supporting structure has been kept unchanged, while the interiors have been adapted to the needs of habitability and current comfort, and a completely renovated barn. The newly built barn has been carefully covered with ancient stones, blending perfectly with the rest of the landscape.
Today the new barn is used for storing agricultural vehicles and the equipment useful for working in the olive tree fields.
On an extremely panoramic natural terrace, the ancient courtyard of the past, one finds a swimming pool with stones that harmonize with the colors of the Tuscan countryside, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days.
The entire property is surrounded by land that measures approx. 5.5 hectares entirely cultivated with about 970 olive trees that produce Chianti Classico IGP DOP olive oil.
Tranquility and silence are a perfect frame for this rural landscape, bringing out further the sounds and echoes that nature generously gives.
