In Castagneto Po, about 25 kilometers away from Turin, we find a charming property that, in the 1600s, was an ancient convent. Around 1800 it was bought and converted into a civil dwelling by a Piedmont family of noble origins.
The 450 sqm villa is divided into three floors and it enjoys wonderful views of the Alps and the Monviso, the mountain symbol of Piedmont.
The land, partly wooded, measures about 30,000 square meters, where we find a wide variety of secular plants, such as a beech and a large Cedar of the Atlantic. The house is also equipped with large cellars, facing west and that are said to lead up to the castle.
